Hype or Drag: I'm unhappy I'll be honest

So for those who don't know, the Akashic Records can only be described as a massive library or Databse of all EVENTS in the universe, both past, present and future. Held in another realm called the Akasha, and can be accessed through meditation practice. All beings have the capacity to reach through to this realm with guidance and practice, and everyones lives are mapped out in these records.

I personally cannot access these records (yet) but those who claim to do so can give you a reading regarding your past lives and help you remove Karmic blockages etc etc etc.

So my Spouse bought this deck, as they are considerably interested in becoming an Akashic practitioner and want all the help they can get.

The authors Sharon Anne Klinger, and Sandra Anne Taylor both work with Akashic energy, Clairvoyance, Energy etc. If you look them up on the internet they come with several publications about all sorts of esoteric matters.
But......how do they fare with Tarot?

Box
This is Hay House so true to form the box is REALLY good quality, comes in two parts, smooth to touch. This is the quality I always expect from Hay House to be honest.

Guide book is thick, i guess it needs to be because like me a lot of people don't know the concepts of the Akashic records so we need to know! If you have bad close vision you'll need a magnifying glass or glasses, whatever this writing is really frigging small.

There is a lot of information about what the Akashic records actually are, and also advice on how to access it. Which i found very helpful and will use in the future.

The Cards
Really nice card stock, thicker than normal cards but bendable and pretty durable. With a nice Mat finish. Only 62 though! 16 missing! Already because of this change my brain can't link up my knowledge of a 78 card deck with this new ensemble. So at this point im a freshie and we're all going in blind. To be honest with Akashic concepts thats understandable but then it begs the question, is this a Tarot Deck?

Jesus Man?

Major Arcana
22 cards, with concepts such as "Uriel, and the Sphinx", "Up in the air", "The Divine Physician".

The deck starts at 1 rather than 0, the first card is called "The Oracle of Delphi" which shows the Phytho Delphi taking perceptions from Apollo, who interprets this. It is a card which symbolises Perception and Interpretation. With encouraging messages about stepping in to your psychic power.

The whole deck works with reversals as well, which is encouraging to a degree. But baffling since this doesn't follow any Tarot rules.

Because this bears NOTHING to The Magician, which is also card 1 in the Marseilles or Smith-Waite.

At this point lets just forgo all Tarot rules for good because i was about to post another card and compare it but there is no point, it's all like that.

Minor Arcana

There are 10 pips, and they are in suites.
Scrolls, Forces, Roses and Keys. I'm not going to try and compare them to Smith-Waite or Marseilles. Genuinely there is no point. There are 8 cards and a King and Queen in all suites.

Artwork

Houston we have a problem!! Besides bearing no relation to Tarot which means i will need to learn it all from scratch (And i'm not trying to learn the Akashic records so i can't relate to that) i'm no fan of the artwork.

This is a bit much

............

I don't think that head belongs to that body.

The Angels are horrible, and cheesy as hell. They bear no relation to the rules of what Angels are supposed to look like (I'm asuming that if Akashic records are going by the text book Angel they would have stuck by the real interpretations. Which are supposed to be scarey and massive)

Exhibit A - That's a Seraphim

These are Etheral beings, and Akasha is supposed to be on another realm entirely. So they could have really pushed the artwork with this deck, instead I feel like it's fluff.

Also I'll address that this deck is really bad use of Photoshop.

I can't get my head around this because as visual person i can't look beyond it. Therefore if i can't connect because of bad digital work then how am i to show the client these in a reading, with a serious face i may add. And explain to them why something in their life is about to change abruptly or help with their Akashic readings. (if i was reading people's Akashic records I would like to use a deck that is meant for Akashic records, such as this deck)

Sometimes I feel like the people who make these decks don't really take into account the user friendliness of them.

Also for inclusion sake, i just feel like random People of colour are slapped all over the deck to make it inclusive

Who is that random man in the background, i feel like he's an afterthought.

But not this card which is about Diversity

That's not diverse at all.

And to be honest any diverse card you see I've included in this review.

In Conclusion!
I am cutting this review short, i feel i will never get my time back by trying to look at and use this deck. I normally post readings with the cards i review on my Instagram but this is just horrible and i hate it. If you want to understand the Akashic records i feel the guidebook is locked in with knowledge and guidance, which is it's only saving grace. Maybe they should've made it a stand alone book.
However, the rest of it is trash. They had the entire universe at their disposal and settled in New Age, ethereal bad photoshopped work. Let's be honest, this is an Oracle deck, this is not a Tarot Deck.

If i ever have a reading and someone brings this out they can keep my money but i'll leave with no reading and i'll be happy about it.

Hype or Drag? DRAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vivid Spirit Tarot - A very painful ordeal

Hey Folk This review is a little different to my normal reviews, in the sense that I don't actually have the deck I want to review.  From what I thought would simply be an easy process, turned into an absolute fucking knigtmare which is still on going.  So i pre-ordered this deck back in August 2020 Which was meant to be released April 2021. No issue here I've pre-ordered before.  I said "NO ISSUE"..... Which are the famous last words... Then a few months later I noticed that the listing had gone, no pic nothing.  Which is unusual for Etsy because with Pre-Orders the listing stays. I was a little worried about this so I contacted them via email and the creator got straight back to me via Etsy Messenger.  Absolutely no issue, great communication and I was happy with that.  Time went on and I realised that my old surname was still on the order and it was close to printing, so I contacted them.  ...

Aquarian Tarot

Title: Aquarian Tarot Artist: David Palladini Price Range: £14 / $19 - £19 / $29 Dimensions: 6.99 x 3.18 x 10.16 cm Publisher: US Games Date: Originally published 1970 Style: Art Nouveau & Art Deco Hey folk, it's been a hot minute hasn't it!! My apologies things are a little bit intense my end so my review writing has had to slow down for the meantime. Heavy studying to become a qualified teacher, and unfortunately the loss of my best friend Katherine of 22 years.  So I'm trying to get back to normal now, please bear with me. Thank you for staying and to my new followers thank you for joining. So, I LOVE Art Nouveau and Art Deco. They're both two of my favourite art styles, with their thick lines and definitive (Sometimes dramatic) styles. Naturally I've got my eye on a few different decks, Aquarian was one of them!  Whilst I'm always on the hunt for Diverse decks, I still appreciate the art of certain times because I understand the world was wha...

The Rider Waite - Centennial Edition

Title: The Rider Waite Alt Names: Smith-Waite,  Waite-Smith ,  Rider-Waite-Smith ,  Rider tarot deck Artist: Pamela Coleman Smith, commissioned by Mystic Arthur Edward Waite.  Dimensions: Various  Publisher: Various Date: 1909 Style: Ye Olde  Hype or Drag: Ye Olde HYPE  Google stock photo The most popular deck The Rider Smith-Waite is considered the blue print deck, the ultimate deck. It is very popular and it is every fucking where but is it the best deck? A little History A lot of cards on the market are inspired by this deck, almost all use similar imagery to convey the meanings associated with the deck. Although it IS the Blueprint for a lot of decks it was ONLY actually designed in 1909. Which means it's still relatively new when you consider that the court cards were being used as tarot from 1440 onwards, the Marseilles tarot (which is an even older blueprint), not the Smith-Waite. If we want to go back further there is evidence ...
